Before the invention of wallboard, traditional gypsum plaster was applied we over brick, wood lath, and rock lath.

Residential Plaster Repairs

 

      We have a great deal of experience in repairing plaster damage in homes caused by water intrusion and the normal aging process of a house.  When General Contractors renovate older homes, they call on us to repair damage to the plaster brought about by the removal of walls and ceilings.

Plaster Ceilings

 

      We also do specialty plaster work on new and remodeled homes.  These projects include barrel ceilings, domes, curved surfaces, fireplaces, and textures.  Occasionally, we are called on to plaster the curved backside of a spiral staircase.

 

Plaster Walls

 

     Our company applied veneer plaster to approximately 50 percent

of the walls in the historic Robertson County Courthouse in 1981.  We reworked the plaster in the historic Fiske University Memorial  Chapel for the chapel’s centennial celebration in 1992.  During the course of our work we discovered one of the four original spires from the steeple which had been lost for over 50 years.  We work on many churches including Immanuel Baptist Church in Nashville.  A few years ago we replaced a section of ornamental plaster crown molding in the First Southern Methodist Church here in Nashville.  Several water-damaged mitres in the plaster crown molding there were also reworked.
